About Alesha Sevy

Hey! I’m Alesha.

I am a lifelong Utah-based artist, illustrator, surface pattern designer, and storyteller with over 20 years of professional design experience. My work is rooted in nature, pattern, and the visual language of connection — between people, places, past, and present.

My aesthetic draws from the beauty of the natural world woven together with context and story: dramatic colors, Utah wildflowers,  the texture of lichen on stone. I bring together elements, symbols, and colors that tell a story in visible layers, even when there are no words.

My practice blends traditional and digital media — I may begin with small gouache studies or digital sketches, then digitize, vectorize, and scale my work into pieces that live on fabric, paper, ceramic, or the walls of the communities I call home. That translation from small and handmade to large and public is where I find my greatest joy.

I am a firm believer that public art can infuse life into communities by telling the stories that spark a deeper sense of connection. Art thrives outside, out in the world. It belongs where people actually live their lives.
